RoHs is a directive released by the EU to restrict the uses of hazardous substances, which is commonly known as the un-leaded process in the industry. RoHs is the abbreviation of Restriction of Hazardous Substance, it mainly prohibits manufacturers to use six types of heavy metal or chemical substances, they are Pb, Cd, Cr6+, Hg, PBB, and PBDE. Among them, the maximum amount of PBDE is 0.1%(1000ppm). All the EU members must observe the content of the directive starting from July 1st, 2006, when all the products sold on the market must meet the requirements.
What are the regulatory recipients of the RoHs?
The major regulatory recipients are devices use voltage less than 1000AC or 1500V DC, which are:
